Since the post, Queen Bey fans have been stanning out via Twitter and are eagerly awaiting the film's release in 2019.

Jon Favreau's The Lion King is one of the most anticipated remakes on the lineup (though calling it live-action is a bit of a stretch since it will be nearly entirely CG a la The Jungle Book), and Disney has officially confirmed the full voice cast, along with a new synopsis.

Disney just announced the cast for the highly anticipated take on the tale and it's packed with Golden Globe, Emmy, Grammy and Tony winners - including one singer who's been rumored to be a part of the project for months.

As rumored, Beyonce plays Nala, while 12 Years A Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor voices Simba's evil uncle Scar.

The movie is set for a July 2019 release and Favreau has already been in pre-production with Jeff Nathanson writing the script. With me and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumba!

Eric Andre, Florence Kasumba and Keegan Michael-Key will voice the hyenas Azizi, Shenzi and Kamari, with John Oliver as the hornbill Zazu.

The film will be directed by Jon Favreau, who was also behind the recent "Jungle Book" remake.

The 1994 animated version was a smash success, and the re-imagined live-action film should also be quite the thrill. While another expressed their disgust with Disney remaking classic movies before immediately taking back their original reaction when they saw the cast list.
