Meek Mill Judge's Beef Behind Stiff Prison Sentence ... Attorney Claims

  • Meek Mill sentenced to minimum two years prison for violating probation

Meek appeared in court in Philadelphia on November 6 for two recent arrests: one for getting into a fight at an airport in St. Louis, and one for recklessly driving a motorcycle through the streets of NYC.

Due to two arrests earlier this year, the judged ruled Meek had, in fact, violated his probation and sentenced him up to four years behind bars, with a minimum of two years.

Up next for Meek, his lawyer revealed they will be appealing the decision and will continue to appeal until it gets rectified.

Despite his success career, trouble followed rapper Meek Mill every step of the way. The judge also cited the rapper's repeated scheduling of concerts in areas where she had barred him from performing. In August he found himself in police custody again for stunting in the streets of New York City.

"The sentence handed down by the Judge-against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer-is unjust and heavy handed", he wrote.

Meek Mill is headed to jail.

Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley imposed the sentence on Mill after he was twice arrested this year.

But fans have issued their condolences and thoughts on Meek's sentence on Twitter. His failure to follow probation rules led to another five months in prison in 2013 and a almost 10-year extension of his probation, which has become something of an albatross hanging from him.

Meek's legal issues continued in March, when he was arrested for fighting in the Philadelphia airport (The charges were dropped when he agreed to perform community service).

The original charges are almost a decade-old but the judge explained that despite her consistent efforts to help Meek, he has done whatever he wants.
