Victoria's Secret Models Under Fire For Rapping N-Word

  • Cardi B was recently at the 2017 Video Music Awards where she performed her hit

While that lyric seemed to have been edited out of the original YouTube video, an unedited clip of the models singing surfaced online.

A group of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show models have been slammed after a video emerged appearing to show several of the young women saying the N-word while singing along to rapper Cardi B's hit song 'Bodak Yellow'. Social media users have pointed out that there are no black people in the room, so the word should not have been used.

Others however questioned whether condemning the models borders on hypocrisy, or if all of the models actually uttered the slur aloud.

Unfortunately, some of the ladies were comfortable saying the n-word. "Black people can use it as freely as they want".

Since the release of the video, a number of people on Twitter have been calling out the models, with some even going as far as suggesting they be fired.

'The safe one is @DevWindsor, ' the woman tweeted alongside a photo of the blonde model standing still as her colleagues dance around her.

The backlash for this incident came just after the fashion show's producers were slammed for airing video of Chinese model Ming Xi falling on stage during her walk. "If you're not black, don't say it. End of discussion". "Thank you for having me", she said. It proves the point author Ta-Nehisi Coates makes in his now-viral speech about white hip-hop fans and the n-word.
