Warner Bros. Picture Group President Toby Emmerich is reportedly weighing the idea of shifting the DC Films structure altogether, integrating DC's film operations into the studio's main movie arm instead of keeping them in a separate building.

Jon Berg, who has been running the DC Comic Films with Geoff Johns, is stepping down from his role, according to the trade. "We're thrilled that Jon is partnering with Roy and anticipate their company being a valuable source of movies for Warner Bros. and New Line". Now, a new rumor indicates that a Justice League director's cut might be available on home video, but it won't be the famed Snyder cut: if it happens, the rumor claims it'll be an extended cut of the theatrical version overseen by Whedon.

Unfortunately, "Justice League" has been a flop by comparison drawing just $570 million worldwide on a $300 million budget that could ultimately cost the studio money when it's all said and done.

The credit of MCU's success is given to Kevin Feige, who has produced or executively produced all the MCU films. Snyder eventually left "Justice League" following the tragic suicide of his daughter and Joss Whedon was brought into finish the movie. "The cool part is that on many of these films the studio releases the Director's Cut with a lot of that material put back in the film for the DVD release, so at least most of the sounds we create will be used one way or another".

It's reported Zack Snyder will not be directing another DC movie, but is still involved as a producer and executive producer on several DC films.

Justice League might be edging towards $600m at the global box-office, but with Wonder Woman making much more than that on her own, the largely derided Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice nearing $900 million for its entire run, and Marvel's equivalent superhero mashup, The Avengers topping out at $1.5 billion, there is no other way to view the film than a huge failure. The changes to DC are expected to be made by next month.

The first step in the so-called "shake-up" regards Jon Berg, who now heads up the production division of the DC Extended Universe.

Further changes include that it's likely Ben Affleck's last appearance as Batman will be in the upcoming movie for The Flash, with it also said Matt Reeves wants to cast the new Batman with fresh talent as well for his solo flick.

Up next for the DCEU is James Wan's Aquaman for December 2018; Shazam! is in development for an April 2019 release, the Wonder Woman sequel has a November 2019 release, and a movie for The Flash (said to be Flashpoint) is in development.
