Schoolboy tearfully asks 'why do they bully me?'

The clip, which has amassed over 29,000 shares on Twitter at the time of writing, shows Keaton tearfully revealing to his mother that he's being mercilessly bullied at his school in Knoxville, Tennessee.

In a Saturday afternoon Facebook post, Jones responded to the outpouring of support for her son.

Athletes who have reached out to Keaton include Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker, former National Football League wide receiver Donté Stallworth and University of Tennessee wide receiver Tyler Byrd, who tweeted that he and some of his Volunteers teammates plan to visit Keaton's school in Knoxville on Tuesday.

"But it'll probably get better one day".

Tears were streaming down the 11-year-old's face. "It's not their fault", Keaton says.

Several other celebrities caught wind of the heart-wrenching video and sent their support to Keaton and his family. So far, Knox County Public Schools have said that there is no Keaton Jones who is "currently enrolled" in the school system.

Keaton managed to offer encouragement to other kids getting bullied before turning away: "People that are different don't need to be criticized about it". Why do you find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to 'em? Recording the video had been Keaton's idea, she said.

As you can see in the video above, Keaton complains of other pupils mocking his appearance, telling him he has no friends and pouring milk over him.

The original Facebook post by Keaton's mother had been shared over 347,000 times with more than 17 million views as of 3 p.m. Sunday.

At the end of the video, which is not even 90 seconds, Keaton shared a message that has been resonating with people around the world.
