Canadian pharmaceutical billionaire, wife found dead in Toronto

Toronto mayor, John Tory, said the he was "shocked and heartbroken" to learn that the two were found dead in their home.
Canadian police are investigating the mysterious deaths of pharmaceuticals billionaire Barry Sherman, founder of Apotex Inc, and his wife Honey, whose bodies were found in their Toronto mansion on Friday.
Constable David Hopkinson said police were treating the deaths of Barry Sherman and his wife Honey as suspicious, but were not now being investigated as murder.
Police said they learned of the deaths after responding to a midday (1700 GMT) medical call at the Sherman's home in an affluent section of northeast Toronto.
A local constable said the circumstances of the deaths appear to be suspicious and it is being treated as such.
Canadian President Justin Trudeau tweeted: "Sophie and I are saddened by news of the sudden passing of Barry and Honey Sherman. "(They were) wonderful human beings, incredible philanthropists, great leaders in health care. A very, very sad day.
Ontario's health minister says the founder of drug company Apotex and his wife have been found dead.
He is estimated to be worth almost $5 billion and is believed to be the 15th richest person in Canada.
Sherman was an active fundraiser for Prime Minister Trudeau's Liberal party but was criticized for holding a pay-for-access fundraiser in August 2015.
Police has declared the deaths as "suspicious".
Sherman, 75 at the time of his death, founded Apotex in 1974 and grew it into a worldwide supplier of generic drugs. A judge dismissed the suit in September of this year, calling the claims "beyond fanciful", but the plaintiffs said they would appeal the decision.
Sherman and his wife were known to be generous philanthropists.
Linda Frum, a Canadian Senator, said she was "gutted by the loss" of the couple, just two weeks after presenting a Senate medal "to one of the kindest and most beloved members of Canada's Jewish community". The couple had made numerous multimillion dollar donations to hospitals, schools, and charities. "Their loss will be felt by our organization, our community, and our country".
The Sherman's had recently put their house up for sale at the price of C$7 million equal to approximately $5.4 billion. Neighbours confirmed that the property was the couple's home.
