Expect morning lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Temperatures tonight will stay around -8C, although winds will continue to gust around 50 km/h.

Wed: High: 29 Low: 15 Mostly sunny, breezy. Another surge of arctic air moves in for the weekend, keeping us in the low to mid teens for highs Saturday, dropping to to near zero Saturday night under mostly cloudy skies.

We're tracking one more "mild" day across Northeast Kansas before yet another cold blast rolls in.

On Saturday and Sunday, Minneapolis is forecast to have highs of only about minus-20 degrees (minus-5F), with lows near minus-25 degrees (minus-15F).

Wind chills will be in the teens for most mornings next week with temperatures mostly in the 20s.

Forecasters said the temperature in the city was likely to dip under -12C, well below the typical average low for the day. Afternoon highs will be in the low 40s for most areas.

There is a chance for snow showers throughout the first part of Saturday. This warm-up will be short lived as much colder temperatures will welcome us in 2018.

Monday - A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of flurries. The arctic air hangs around much of next week with sub-freezing temperatures possible through next Wednesday.

For most of the region encompassing New England, northern Pennsylvania and NY, the National Weather Service issued wind chill advisories or warnings as temperatures were expected to be below -12C in a wide area. Skies will become partly cloudy overnight, with temperatures falling to the middle single digits below zero. Plan for brutally cold weather Sunday evening. Temperatures make not make it out of the teens New Year's Day!

There will likely be hard freeze warnings that will be issued for Southwest Louisiana next week. Temps will be in the upper 20s around 9:00am and the upper 30s around noon.
