Houston police: Missing journalist found, appears unharmed

A Texas sports reporter is missing and there are fears something awful happened.

Her website also said Roland was "selected to represent Spring, Texas in the Miss Texas Teen USA Pageant", and has worked as a model.

Cruz said she appeared to have spent much of her time searching for her phone, which was found in the Jeep along with other personal items. Meanwhile, her purse was found at a nearby business.

Update 9:36 a.m. January 8: Police said they found Texas A&M University football reporter Courtney Roland on Monday morning after she was reported missing over the weekend in Houston. She was anxious that she was being followed by a blue truck leaving Walgreens, location unknown. "She was last confirmed seen 1/6/18 leaving football camp in Houston", a social media post reads.

Flat mate Autumn Vara already said Roland messaged her Saturday night about a suspicious man she saw at Walgreens who took after her home. They say Roland later planned to meet up with her roommate but failed to appear.

Anyone with information on the missing 29-year-old is asked to contact the Houston Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 832-394-1840.

Family and friends reported Roland missing at the weekend. There is dispute online as to whether she was last seen in an Uber or another vehicle.

He told the Chronicle: "We don't have too many details right now; we're just happy she's OK". "Prayers out to her family during this hard time".
