Other than the update, the DLC will be available only for those who had bought or will buy the season pass.

The first Assassin's Creed Origins expansion will see Bayek and his assassin's take on the force in a completely new region of the game. Now players can look forward to the biggest addition yet as the developer has announced the game will receive its first major story expansion, titled The Hidden Ones, sometime this month.

Update to the loot chests item pool, which adds all the items from the Nightmare and First Civilization packs, as well as the Gladiator and Wacky packs. The update will also allow Bayek to sell outfits at Weaver shops, and add one free quest. This expansion will include a new area and story, alongside a number of other updates set to come out in January. Additionally, the level cap has been increased from 40 to 45.

Ubisoft has not set an exact date for The Hidden Ones' arrival, but we're expecting it sooner rather than later - Trophies for the expansion have already been spotted out in the wild. Also, the Trials of the Gods event will come back and you will be able to fight with Anubis again. Once that's over, players will be able to take on the devious Sobek from January 23 to January 30.

The free content will be available to download at the same time as The Assassin's Creed Origins The Hidden Ones DLC.

The in-game store is getting new weapons packs throughout the month, and one of the new Ubisoft Club rewards is inspired by For Honor.
