Devastating scenes as Taiwan hotel collapses after 6.4 magnitude quake

Taiwanese media reported that aside from the cave in on the ground floor of the Marshal Hotel, a separate hotel known as the Beautiful Life Hotel, is tilting.
Officials had no numbers for missing people. "On Feb. 4, there were 28 earthquakes recorded coming from just off the coast of Hualien, with 12 occurring in a single hour, the largest of which was a magnitude 5.8 temblor".
Tuesday's quake follows another 6.1 tremor that shook the same area on Sunday.
Cellphone video from Hualien City shows a large building leaning at a unsafe angle as sirens are heard in the background.
Rescuers are seen entering damaged buildings after the quake. Relief measures are underway.
Speaking from a crisis center in Taipei, Cabinet spokesman Hsu Kuo-yung said rail links appeared to be unaffected and the runway of Hualien airport was intact. "There are many aftershocks and we are anxious the house is damaged".

"We were in the hostel when suddenly there was a big natural disaster, there has been a couple of quakes the last few days but this one was a lot bigger", she told TVNZ's Breakfast.
An employee at the Park City Hotel down the street told CNN that he felt the quake but there was no damage at his location.
"We live in Wellington and we have experience a few but this is definitely so much bigger", she said. "My two children slept through the whole thing".
