How Apple Hopes to Eliminate Those Annoying iPhone Bugs

  • An Intern At Apple Stole And Then Leaked Critical iPhone Source Code, Says Report

Further reports from Bloomberg suggests that the new features are being made as a part of the software release which is now codenamed as "Peace". It's also claimed that the Animojis will also be making their way to the iPad when Apple releases a refreshed model that has a compatible Face ID camera.

Apple's decision for delaying a handful of new features and shifting its focus to under-the-hood changes is that the fast-paced schedule of adding new come at the expense of performance and buggy software.

Apple's annual software upgrade this fall will bring plenty of new features for its iPhone users, reports Bloomberg. "There are many layers of hardware and software protections built into our products, and we always encourage customers to update to the newest software releases to benefit from the latest protections", Apple said when enquired about the issue.

Other details about the future operating system remain unknown, and it's possible that some features will be bumped back if they aren't up to snuff.

Apart from this year's iOS 12 update, users will have to wait for iOS 13 in 2019 to expect significant updates for the iPad. Previous reports have suggested that some major iOS 12 features have been delayed for the sake of quality. This wouldn't be surprising given that Apple Watch and iMessage apps can also be downloaded from the iOS App Store. The ability to synchronize Messages in iCloud, for example, was initially vaunted as a headline feature in iOS 11 at WWDC 2017 past year.

In recent times, the iPhone owners faced a number of glitches such as not being able to take calls or a bug that caused iPhones to crash a year ago.

According to Bloomberg, however, this is more than just a periodic pause for Apple to catch its metaphorical breath. This includes a framework for third parties to develop apps that will work on iOS and macOS devices - part of what was reported on earlier by the outlet's Mark Gurman.

While this may mean a less flashy WWDC 2018, in the long run it's probably good news for Apple, developers, and users alike.

Bloomberg said the iPad is set to get tabs within apps, allowing you to run several windows inside one app. Apple's tablets will also get the ability to run windows from the same app side-by-side.
