Beyonce has announced that she is donating $100,000 to four historically black universities in America, after establishing a scholarship program past year.

Through her BeyGOOD philanthropic initiative, the pop star has established the Homecoming Scholars Award program, which will award $100,000 in scholarships to Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee and Bethune-Cookman universities.

Beyonce will do again in Coachella this Saturday and her and her husband, rapper Jay Z, are place to commence a US and European tour together in June.

The more than 100 historically black USA colleges and universities were all created before the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when white people dominated institutions of higher education could bar African American students from enrolling for higher studies.

All applicants must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, and winners, who will receive $25,000, will be selected by the universities. From the looks of it, Gigi was at the music festival for Cardi B's performance and this pic of hers sees her having lunch before the performance of the rapper, Cardi B.

For her next number, she switched into a sexy latex Balmain bodysuit with bedazzled shoulder pads that matched her new silver manicure.

But the singer was in for a surprise herself.

Last year, she celebrated the one-year anniversary of the critically-acclaimed 2016 visual album LEMONADE by launching the Formation Scholars Award Program.

It's undoubtedly a worthy goal to help young black students get ahead by giving back to the community the way the singer has done over the years.
