Nisar's comments came in the wake of a statement by ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif who questioned Pakistan's policy to allow the "non-state actors" to cross the border and "kill" people in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The attack killed almost 166 people, including foreign nationals after 10 Pakistani gunmen spent three days spraying bullets and throwing grenades around city landmarks. Nawaz Sharif, in a recent interview said, "Militant organisations are active". Nawaz is now ousted from the post of Prime Minister after Pakistan's apex court disqualified him from holding public office on charges of corruption.

The remark contradicts the official stand of Islamabad, which insists that India has not furnished enough evidence to prove that Pakistani terrorists were involved.

Rehman warned that such reckless statements inflict damage on Pakistan's narrative while apprising at the same time that country has tendered unrivalled sacrifices in war on terror. Explain it to me.

Pakistan's former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Sunday said the "uncooperative attitude" and "stubbornness" of the Indian government has been the biggest obstacle in the Mumbai terror attacks trial reaching a conclusion, according to a media report. He called Nawaz Sharif a "modern-day Mir Jafar, who collaborated with the British to enslave his nation for personal gains".

Nisar said Pakistan repeatedly sought cooperation from the Indian government but it always used the incident against Pakistan on political grounds for its despicable plans. "Why can't we complete the trial?"

The relations between the military and the Sharif government were at its lowest in October 2016 when the latter told the former to act against home-grown militant groups or face global isolation. Afghanistan's narrative is being accepted, but ours is not.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman on Sunday slammed Nawaz Sharif for his statement on the Mumbai attacks and said it backed Modi's stance. Call them non-state actors. Coordinated attacks killed 166 and injured over 300.

Sharif, 68, was disqualified by the Supreme Court for not being "honest and righteous" as he failed to declare in 2013 a salary he got from the company of his son in the UAE. Only one of the terrorists, Ajmal Kasab, could be caught alive.
