That's from the short clip in Ubisoft's post announcing the new title Assassin's Creed: Odyssey - it depicts what appears to be a Spartan warrior kicking an enemy off a cliff, 300-style.

Ubisoft's announcement came a few hours after a French video game site JeuxVideo-Live published a photo of a keychain containing a Spartan head, along with the game title, which will form a part of the marketing for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Which - along with the name - suggests the game will be set in Ancient Greece.

KitGuru Says: I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed Origins, so I already have high hopes for Odyssey. Assassin's Creed has featured female protagonists before, however this is a first for the series in which you can choose the gender between Male and Female. According to sources who have played the game, Odyssey will build on Origins' RPG mechanics even further, bringing dialogue options to the series for the first time. Perhaps they've figured out how to keep iterating on the formula year on year, but we'll have to wait and see how drastic the changes are at E3.

Two of those sources confirmed that Odyssey will be out during Ubisoft's 2019 fiscal year, which ends on 31 March 2019.

As with all rumors, take this with the proverbial grain of salt. This window of release makes sense given that Origins took an extra year of development, but it does mean that players may be waiting a long time for an official confirmation.

Stay tuned for more as it develops.
