  • MSNBC host Chris Hayes thinks that Roseanne Barr “far too authentically represented” worldviews of Trump supporters

The ABC network has cancelled Barr's revived television show.

ABC said her comment was "repugnant" and pulled the plug on the show, but there might be hope for her co-stars.

"We always planned on reaching out to Roseanne eventually", he told The Daily Beast.

Roseanne Barr begged ABC to save her show from being canceled earlier this week after she posted racist remarks on Twitter about Valerie Jarrett, and said she thought the former senior adviser in the Obama White House was white.

Barr, who had apologised for her comments, tried to further fix the damage on Wednesday, tweeting: "I'm not a racist, I never was & I never will be". I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks.

'I think I'll b better tomorrow.

Well, apparently ABC didn't find her joke amusing and pulled the plug!

"I begged Ben Sherwood at ABC to let me apologize & make amends".

Barr ended her most recent string of tweets by writing, "I end by offering everyone involved one more apology and prayers for healing of our divided nation".

As for how he's doing, Goodman said: "Everything's fine". "The real Roseanne I know could probably use some compassion and help right now", Kimmel tweeted. In a series of tweets on May 31, Roseanne said, "please don't compare me2 other people who have said awful things. Those ordinary examples of racism that happen every single day".

Instead of being properly shamed by her actions, Barr's supporters have seemed to bolster her confidence.

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Goodman at a New Orleans auto fix shop, where he hesitated to discuss the fallout over Barr's racist tweet this week. "Tomorrow is Shabbat and I will continue to pray that everything for everyone goes forward & ends well for all. signing off twitter for a while. love u guys". "I've been up there [11] times already, and if I didn't get one, I'm not gonna get one".

At one point, she blamed a sleeping pill and said she was "Ambien tweeting" when she sent the tweet suggesting Jarrett was a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes. "I figured someone would take her phone away or monitor her", he said. "I failed2 correctly express myself, & caused pain2 ppl (people)". The source made it clear that everyone involved knows it's a long shot to get the series back on air.
