- The Golden State Warriors cruised to a victory on Sunday night beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 122 to 103.

James came into the game trying to become the first player in NBA Finals history to score 50 points in consecutive games.

Curry hit five 3s in the fourth quarter as the Warriors turned it into a romp after the Cavaliers were within seven points early in the period.

Just over 24 hours before tipoff of Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Green issued a threat to Tristan Thompson to let him know that while the physicality on the court may not continue, they could always work out their differences off of it.

After an overtime opener loss James called one of the worst defeats of his career, the Cavaliers couldn't play Golden State as close, with Curry and his teammates thwarting every threat. James produced 15 first-half points on 5-of-11 shooting with 7 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Warriors rolled into the locker room with a 59-46 lead at halftime of Game 2.

When the Warriors' Shaun Livingston took a shot in the final seconds with an eight-point lead instead of letting the shot clock run out for a turnover, Thompson was incensed.

The Warriors listed Thompson as questionable for Sunday's second game with a bruise in his left leg, though Thompson offered more specifics Saturday after practice.

Last year's NBA Finals MVP made his initial five field goals Sunday, driving right at James on offense and doing all he could to fluster him on defense. It was J.R. Smith's now infamous blunder that cost the Cavs a chance to win at the end of regulation.

This was the 102nd consecutive game this season for James.

"He makes tough shots, that's what he does", Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said.

Cleveland was one play away from winning a stunner straight up in Game 1.

Smith's late-game miscalculation also wasted LeBron James' 51-point production, which could be hard to mirror should Warriors head coach Steve Kerr defensive adjustments.

"They're damn good with him and they're damn good without him", James said.

"I never like to think back and say what if", Calderon said.

What a start for JaVale McGee and the Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
