Mohamed Salah has joined Egypt training camp but his availability for the opener against Uruguay remains uncertain.

Saudi Arabia head into the tournament on the back of three straight defeats at the hands of Italy, Peru and Germany, but they showed enough in those games, particularly against Italy and Germany, to show they have a realistic chance of pipping Russian Federation and Egypt to the second spot behind Group A favorites Uruguay.

Asked if he thinks the fall with Ramos was normal, the Pharaohs star said: "I don't know".

Nursing a shoulder injury suffered in the Champions League final - which Liverpool lost 3-1 to Real Madrid - Salah did come out onto the pitch in Grozny accompanied by Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov to greet fans eager to catch a glimpse of the English Premier League player of the year.

"He still feels pain. this type of injury needs a recovery period of three weeks before going back to the field", said Abou el-Ela.

"At the moment I only focus on the World Cup", said Hazard at Belgium's pre-World Cup training camp in Brussels. Also, anger and sadness for not being able to continue playing the Champions League final.

"Now I'm better, though".

Salah conceded that qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years is an achievement in itself for Egypt.

Egypt, record seven-time African champions, have qualified for the World Cup for only the third time.

Egypt will be featuring in their first World Cup since 1990, when they were eliminated at the group stage.

"Fortunately, the players here are very malleable and have adapted to what we want from them", the coach said in an exclusive interview with Arab News. So if we want to do something great, it is now. We want to make history and achieve something different. "That's not going through my head".
