President Trump tweeted Sunday that people who "invade" the US must get sent back to their home countries immediately, without any court action.

While some who advocate for stricter immigration rules have argued that people are making fraudulent asylum claims or abusing the loopholes in USA immigration laws, Baron said Trump's views went way beyond those arguments.

In a string of Twitter comments, Trump declared, "We can not allow all of these people to invade our Country.", contending that "Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order".

"When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came". Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Last week, Cruz introduced legislation that would help handle asylum claims at the border by doubling the number of federal immigration judges to 750. No Democrats voted for the bill, while 41 Republican voted "yes".

"Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!" he added. He also once against blamed Democrats for the country's immigration problems, urging them to not "resist" and instead strengthen security at the USA border.

Roughly 2,300 children were separated from their families in recent weeks by US Border Control.

It was hardly the first time the president has spoken in racially fraught terms about immigrants, but it underscored his anger about unchecked immigration - the animating issue of his campaign and his tenure so far - and his frustration that he has not been able to do more to seal the nation's borders.

USA immigration law provides certain rights for undocumented immigrants arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Johnson said the Department of Homeland Security had told him "about 21%" of the children separated have been reunited, and when asked if he was confident the government has the ability to reunite kids with their parents, Johnson said, "They are saying the do". Bernie Sanders called on Trump to meet with members of Congress to work "on a rational program" dealing with immigration. Lawmakers may then proceed with a narrower proposal aimed specifically at addressing the mounting uproar over the practice of separating the children of illegal immigrants from their parents.

Last week, the Trump administration's family separation policy sparked a national outcry.
