Host Jimmy approached the conversation by telling the 24-year-old he "didn't have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show".

Replied Pete: "But I did, though".

Finally! After much speculation, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have confirmed their engagement.

Davidson's full interview airs on Wednesday's Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.

What's unknown is if the new couple are renting the pricey apartment or if they're buying it.

When Fallon congratulated him and shook his hand, Davidson said he felt like he'd 'won a contest'.

In a statement about their breakup, Grande said there were times when her "toxic relationship" took its toll. "It's f--ing lit Jimmy".

She was spotted wearing a ring which people thought was one which Davidson made her wear. If you are an avid fan who had been glued to the singer's social media account you would know that the couple have matching cloud tattoos. She revealed an interlude would be titled "Pete". Instead of promoting his own film, he spent a good few minutes waxing lyrical about Robert's film Good Time and claimed that Robert's performance was Oscar-worthy - going as far as to say he was "one of the greatest actors of our generation".

Davidson started his career as a stand-up comedian and joined popular satirical sketch show Saturday Night Live in 2014.

"Some dude came up to me and was like, 'Yo man, you gave me hope, '" he shared.

Although fans were already expecting the new song to drop - a music video is set to follow with director Dave Meyers (Missy Elliot, Kendrick Lamar, Katy Perry) at the helm - Ariana has also given a big update on her upcoming LP.
