Netflix is testing a new plan for users in Europe, a higher £16.99 plan that checks out as higher than its 13.99 Premium Plan. Presuming you have an Ultra HD HDR screen to watch it on, the Ultra tier will cost you 16.99 Euro a month, roughly $19.80. The streaming service is now testing an Ultra pricing tier. The existing premium subscription would drop from four to two UHD streams.

Similarly, the Standard subscription might be downgraded to just one display.

According to Italian source TuttoAndroid, the new tier would permit four devices to receive Ultra HD audio and video at the same time. Would another price hike encourage you to send the streaming giant packing?

The spokeswoman also clarified that the test is being conducted on a limited number of people, and not all Netflix subscribers will get the specific price points and features.

Although many consumers will clearly like the addition of High Dynamic Range it could mean bad news for those on the current Premium package. Some users who are subscribed to the Standard "HD" plan were also restricted to a single stream, according to Phone Arena. Additionally, Netflix may introduce some changes to the current plans that may not come as good news to many subscribers, especially the Premium users.

Whether Netflix will roll out the option to all Italian subscribers or will do so in other markets remains to be seen.

She said: "We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time". A company spokesperson was quoted as saying, "In this case, we are testing slightly different price points and features to better understand how consumers value Netflix". Time will tell whether Netflix decides to make any official changes to its pricing structure and roll them more widely. Which plan are you subscribed to?
