OH prosecutors on Thursday threw out charges against porn star Stormy Daniels, a day after she was arrested for allegedly rubbing undercover cops' faces into her breasts while performing at a strip club.

Daniels was arrested at a club in Columbus, Ohio while performing an act she has done at almost 100 strip clubs across America, Michael Avenatti wrote on Twitter.

"According to CNN, Daniels posted the $6,054 bail for 'three misdemeanor counts of illegally touching a patron".

Because Clifford does not regularly appear at the Columbus strip club, charges were dismissed.

Avenatti blasted the arrest as a "politically motivated sting" and a 'ridiculous use of [police] resources'.

Avenatti, who has been a familiar face on U.S. cable TV since becoming Daniels' attorney, claimed Daniels performed the same act at Sirens that she had performed at almost 100 strip clubs across the US. He vowed to fight the "bogus charges", even suggesting there are "higher priorities" at stake for the police.

Ohio's state law prohibits anyone who isn't a family member from touching a nude or half nude dancer. A violation is a misdemeanor.

During the show, Avenatti said, undercover police officers asked Daniels for permission to place their faces between her breasts, though the attorney declined to release further details about the performance.

"Are you kidding me?"

Avenatti told The Washington Post that undercover officers later approached Daniels and told her she would be arrested.

On Thursday afternoon, Avenatti announced on Twitter that prosecutors had dropped the charges against his client.

Since Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, was only scheduled to perform at Siren's Gentlemen's Club Wednesday night and does not regularly perform there, prosecutors said the crimes were not committed.

"Saddened to hear the other 2 dancers arrested with me last night did not have their charges dropped", she tweeted.

Columbus police did not confirm Daniels' arrest to Fox News. No times are listed for her performances and a representative of Platinum Plus would only say they are at night.

Daniels has filed two lawsuits against Trump, one to get out of a non-disclosure agreement she had signed in October 2016 ahead of the November presidential election in exchange for the $130,000, and another for defamation. The Associated Press reports that the 2007 law was introduced by a conservative religious group, but some say it has seldom been enforced.

Her attorney said she was set up in a Columbus police sting operation, something police deny.
