  • Part of Maravilla and Toledo's scheme involved tracking down a McDonald's uniform shirt at Goodwill which Maravilla wore to play the part of a'Regional Interior Coordinator

Two friends in Texas were recently on a secret mission to prank McDonald's by putting up a poster.

The fake McDonald's poster that 21-year-old student Jevh Maravilla shared on Twitter on Monday is the absolute flawless example of this. Jevh, who has Filipino heritage, decided it was time to fix this and enlisted his friend Christian Toledo to help.

On July 13, Maravilla, Toledo and friends snuck the over-sized poster into the Pearland McDonald's and proceeded to hang it on the wall without being detected.

The pranksters made a decision to post their adventure to Maravilla's YouTube page, where a vlog of their shenanigans has been viewed more than 500,000 times. "What motivated me was 'Crazy Rich Asians, ' the movie that came out, that boosted my confidence into thinking maybe one day I could be just like that, and if I take a step and do something small like this, it could make a difference". Then they ordered it online and waited for it to arrive. "I was very, very nervous", Jevh said.

To be fair, they really have done an excellent job with that poster.

"We put adhesive on the back so it could be taken down".

If you're going to pull a prank, you might as well do it right.

"Asian representation in media is not as prevalent as it should be", Maravilla told KPRC Click2Houston.

"We all deserve equality and all races deserve recognition".

After the incident McDonald's applauded the duo for their creativity.

Jevh says he was anxious his parents would be cross but they were so amused they visited the restaurant and posed for photos with it.

The pair have shared pictures on social media of them posing as McDonald's models, which has been shared more than 900,000 times.

And apparently, McDonald's isn't the only one lovin it...because the poster is still up 50 days later! "This McDonald's poster is the representation we need", wrote one user, referring to a recent American film.
