Check Out the iPhone 9's Colors in New Leak

  • The new Apple phone – dubbed the iPhone XS – which will come in a choice of 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch organic light-emitting-diode screens and be available in a never-before-seen gold colour

9to5Mac reports today that the larger of the two phones will actually be called the "iPhone XS Max" instead of "iPhone XS Plus" as we've been expecting.

The company has remained coy about the release date, specs, pricing and just about everything else. According to 9to5Mac, citing sources "familiar with Apple's marketing plans", a yet-to-be-confirmed 6.5in handset will be christened the iPhone XS Max, breaking away from the firm's traditional "Plus" designation. But with about a week left before Apple's event, there's still time to make this phone the "iPhone 11" - or, at least, not the XS. Nevertheless, we know that Apple's three new iPhones are all expected to look a lot like the iPhone X, notch included.

Amongst other industry scuttlebutt, the phones are tipped to have OLED displays and a new A12 chip designed in-house specifically for the iPhone. The report also indicates that the prices will be similar to the Euro prices from a year ago for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X 2017. Also with the current dollar-rupee currency fluctuation and the rupee continuing to fall against the USA dollar, Apple is likely to stick with a higher pricing in India when it launches the iPhone Xs series here. It will be replaced on all three models with the face-scanning FaceID that Apple introduced with the iPhone X a year ago. The report states that Apple is going to introduce a significantly larger bezel on the upcoming Apple Watch, and will have new watch faces specifically designed for the new screen.

While it would be nice if Apple prices its 2018 iPhone lineup aggressively, Apple has never been shy about placing a premium price tag on its products.

To be a little more specific, Apple is said to be planning two iPhone X follow ups.

New photos reveal some of the fancier color options buyers will be able to choose from, including red and blue.

The successors of the iPhone X will have a similar design language but different sizes. The 3 iPhones include upgrades to the existing iPhone X and as well as iPhone 9. But all will be revealed september 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater inside Apple Park.
